Sometimes it's necessary to extend an applicants invitation as they need more time to complete their interview.
In Shortlister it's really simple to do this and there is a couple of ways in which this can be achieved.
Step by Step Guide
If you have the applicants name or email to hand then the quickest route would be to input either piece of information into the search bar. When the relevant applicant displays, simply hit the stopwatch icon to be able to select a new deadline date.
Alternatively, if you want to extend multiple applicants deadlines then the easiest thing to do would be to click on the relevant interview template.
In the 'Question & Applicants' tab, you will see the applicants listed in alphabetical order on the right-hand side of the screen below the 'Add Applicants' button. Under each of the applicants' names, you will see their status which illustrates where they are in the process.
If the applicants status is 'Awaiting Response' then this indicates that the applicants' deadline hasn't yet passed meaning they still have time to complete their interview. If the applicants status is 'Did Not Complete' this indicates that the applicant's deadline has elapsed.
To extend the applicants deadline simply select on the stopwatch icon.
A pop up will then appear, giving you the option to either type a date, or simply extend by 3, 5 or 7 days from the initial expiry. Once you select on 'Extend' an email will be sent to the applicant stating their new deadline date.
If you ever want to check on when an applicants invitation is set to expire then all you need to do is hover over the status and the deadline date will display.
